Access to natural wilderness like National Parks is often problematic for people with disability. And that’s despite the amazing work of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, and many others, in improving pathways and vehicle access to popular sites.
So when we were invited to help raise further funding for work in this area, we looked to invest the allocated budget into more than just a single ramp in a single park. Instead, we took a lateral approach and created Parallel Parks: a virtual-reality-driven experience that brings multiple parks to people who might not be able to get to those parks themselves.
The following video tells the story so far. And if you’d like to contribute to the continued evolution of the product, you can do just that here.
